You’re mentioning that they are planning to open a iTMS in the Netherlands very soon, as a matter affect they already have one since October 26th 2004. That was the day the iTMS was introduced in Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Greece, Portugal, Spain and Italy as well.
Adam:
You mentioned on your show about the possibility of a video iPod. I have my own fantasy about that… my dream Apple product is a box that would sit on top of my TV and have a remote. It would have video-ins and hook up to my Apple computer, either with either a FW cord or through Airport. It would use my computer’s HD and internet connections and turn them into a DVR. But what would REALLY be great is if I could go to an i-Videos store and download a movie I want to see (or maybe just schedule a dead-of-the-night download if it would take too long a time.)
It seems like the technology is already there for something like this, that I wonder why it hasn’t happened. Or maybe it has and I just haven’t noticed? Aside from those cheapo PCI cards, has anyone put together something like this in an elegant way?
Love your show. Keep up the good work.
The rumour about Australia getting an ITMS later this month, has now been reported in one of the country’s main daily broadsheet newspapers. The link is http://www.smh.com.au/news/Technology/Web-tunes-revolution-here-soon/2005/04/09/1112997223744.html
But as a resident, I’ve heard the rumours before and they have amounted to nought.
Thanks for the ipodderx discount code. New Mac switcher (mac mini) and new ipod mini user. My ipodderx demo was about to expire, so this code was timely. The convert to bookmarable ACC is the best feature. Good stuff! Keep up the great work on the Podcast. It’s sure enjoyable to listen to the various Mac Podcasts and hear about technology. All the Windows Podcasts seem to talk about are spyware, virus and the latest security hole from Microsoft. Can’t wait for Tiger. It’ll be GGGG-REAT!
