    Wooowwww, nice one.

The 17-inch MacBook Pro already exists, stupid.

  2. g0rdo | Apr 24 2006 - 02:34

    haha, just kidding :)

BTW, did you notice these things:?

The PowerBook G4 now is only available in 15 (.4?) inch.

There is no more PowerPC iMac G5.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger now comes in a smaller square box like iLife ’06, .Mac, iWork ’06, Apple Remote Desktop 3, and the GarageBand Jam Packs.

    Adam,
You mentioned the forthcoming Apple computer recycling program available for new purchasers of Mac products. Just wondering — I’m assuming that this includes sending in used Windows PCs,in addition to used Macs (although why would one want to recycle a Macintosh?!)

Is it just me, or is this dude g0rdo spamming here?

    Adam,

Thank you for the song “Code Monkey”! That rocked! After only 30 seconds, I almost broke my neck rushing to the artist’s website to buy the song.

Did you guys hear Jonathan Coulton’s song on the Daily Show on Tuesday?

Regarding the powerbrick that existed and then didn’t, you may be thinking of the iMac. The iMac G4 had an external brick, but the G5 moved it all back into the internals.

  12. LouZer | Apr 27 2006 - 07:18

Oh, and Apple’s attack of the rumor sites, they ‘claim’ to be suing them to find out who, internally, is leaking the information, not going after the sites per se. The sites are claiming journalistic source protections and all that. So they are trying to do what you want, just not doing it the way most would think they should be.

You know, this reminds me of the old Apple Cube. (I used to have one at work ..they were a beautiful machine, and I’d love to own one again.) The power brick on the Cube was a damned pretty thing. For the first few months I had it I actually kept it up on my desk beside the machine, because I thought it looked *that* good.

Of course, the same isn’t true of the MiniMac. That power brick is hidden under the desk, and I just pretend it doesn’t exist. ;) ..I’m glad the power transforming circuitry is outside of the main machine though. I wouldn’t want that stuff crammed into that tiny Mac and contributing to the heat within.
