    File does not exist message.

  2. Rene | Apr 16 2007 - 06:29

File downloads fine through iTunes now.

Thanks for that show, Adam. I really missed your show last week. However, hearing your interview on podcast411 from Januari 18, 2006, I can only imagine how terrible you felt not being able to put out a show last week.

oops. my bad. I typed .mp3 twice for the filename in the links. it should be fixed now.

    Dear Adam:

I am not surprised with the delay in Leopard. I don’t believe Apple has committed the necessary resources to software development. I have had nothing but trouble with iTunes 7.0. I get a beach ball freeze at least once a day.

I would think long and hard before becoming an early Leopard adopter. I think Leopard will be long on promises, but chock-full of beach balls.

    Hi folks,

The comments by listener Jeff in Minneapolis about not formatting an Airdisk in Fat32 would appear to conflict with Apple’s Airport’s UK advertising which goes something along the lines of :

    “For shared hard drive:
    * USB2.0 hard drive
    * Macintosh computer with Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later; PC with Windows XP and Bonjour (included on CD)”

    Interesting eh…..

Am I the only one having issues with the new site? I am running Camino. I uploaded a screenshot here: http://www.box.net/shared/3lo80c50jp

  9. rose matthews | Apr 16 2007 - 08:34

Leopard delay – I have an eMac and a MacBook both I which I keep updated. I have also promised myself a 24inch iMac when Leopard is released. I understand others frustrations over and concerns about the delay but my credit card has just heaved a massive sigh of relief !
Will – I had the same trouble with Camino which is a bit strange as it’s usally very stable.

  10. Dale | Apr 16 2007 - 09:22

Will, and other using Camino- if you have block web advertising enabled, that’s how the site will appear.

Adam’s using a couple of Apple ads on the site, and as a courtesy to those of you who’d like to disable them, they aren’t encrypted and can be hidden.

So, to view the site correctly in Camino, deselect the above mention option from within the ‘web features’ tab in Camino’s preferences, ad you’ll be good to go.

    Yeah! You’re back! :D

Must say I do love the new site look quite sexy. Glad to have seen my iTunes show me the brand new show sitting in my smart playlist!

“Heavy Women”…wow…what a song! Hahahaha! Really made my morning. :p

Do you know of a command or keyboard shortcut to quit all applications at once?

By the way, where is the old little icon on the left of http:// in the address bar? I liked it more than this new one.

Here is a link to a brief episode of our Friends in Tech member Casting from the Server Room. They walk you through setting up OSX with Active Directory AND getting policies for OSX from an Apple Server.

Uggh. I now see the errors of my ways. .the Airport handles the file format conversion so it doesn’t matter how the Airport disk is formatted, a windows PC can always see it.

I believe in America the exprerssion is D’oh! – whislt here the UK we say ” I’ll get my coat..”

    Hi Adam,

Where will I find your reference to the Podcasting technical specs for Apple TV. I have searched the site without success.

    Thanks

    Ian

  16. Maccast | Apr 21 2007 - 11:15

    Ian,
Sorry, looks like I accidentally left it out. You can find them here:

  17. Ctakim | Apr 22 2007 - 07:46

Hi Adam: Love the show, but I think you might be wrong in your specs for HDTV. You can check this out with Ara from the HDTV Guys, but the official specs for HD television only specify the vertical (up and down) resolution. Anything less than 720p lines of verticl pixels meets the definition high def. So 720 x 304 resolution may have 720 lines of horizontal pixels (left to right) but that is very much below the resolution of what is considered high def.

    This point can be confusing.

Thanks for a great podcast. I am a regular listener.
