The link for thought.biz that showed up in itunes with the podcast went to
a different website. The link in the show notes is correct however.

Either I really don’t understand what Adam was trying to say about “Places” in iPhoto, or Adam didn’t fully understand the questioner’s issue. I’m having the same problem. I have a bunch of photos taken at one place which have the correct location. However, the first photo taken at that location shows up a few blocks away, presumably because the location services were just starting up. Before I can move the pin on the incorrect location, I have to assign a name to the correct pin assigned to the other photos. This does not appear to be possible in iPhoto without dropping a new pin.

i was listening to this podcast and it actually made me audibly laugh in line at the grocery store – the point where you mentioned the acronym S.P.E.E.D. when talking bout Safari4’s coverview feature in browsing history. What was it again? Spouse Porn Excavation, Extradition and Discovery! ? hillarious!

    oh and great show(s) btw!

Yeah Bill, I had to scroll back to hear “spousal porn excavation extradition and discovery tool” for Safari 4.

I think the problem with geotagging mostly occurs when taking pictures inside where there is no or only limited GPS signal. GPS devices have to “see” more than one satellite to be accurate.

    Hi Adam,

I just got around to trying Safari 4 today. While it has much potential, I’ll wait, even on the beta, until they get 1Password working with it.

Anyway, a note on having to re-download Safari 3 to reinstall it; I didn’t have to do that. If you are using Time Machine to back up, simply go to your App folder and highlight Safari (v.4). Then, click on Time Machine in the dock and navigate to a time just prior to installing Safari v.4. Click “Restore” and Time Machine will restore.

The 99USD iPhone is probably the best catch of the day.

I’ve been using Safari for years and I can say none of the browsers even come close.
