Loved the idea of an iPhone-based remote control for standard IR devices in the living room. The iPhone great already for controlling my Apple TV, but would be marvelous to be able to do that as well for cable tv.
Dealing with the remote control that came with our cable box is one of the vexations of my life.
(OK OK — I also used to walk in the snow to school, we had no McDonald’s, we swam in the cow pond, not a pool, and there was no iTunes… man, it was TOUGH back in the 1960s!)
Please let us know when the iPhone remote gizmo becomes available. I assume it will also work in Japan.
