Ha! I figured that you’d pull the trigger, despite all that chatter about waiting for the 3G. I bought the same model that you did, but I never did consider the cell coverage option. My reasoning is that I’ve repeatedly encountered limitations to my so-called iPhone ‘unlimited’ plan. It isn’t the dropped calls or poor coverage problem; its that there’s artificial limits to file size. The limit isn’t by the month, it’s by the item. Just for example, podcasts like, say, “MacCast” exceed this limit. Instead it instructs me to find a WiFi hotspot! Same deal for a number of applications that can stream video–provided you have WiFi! I’ve just accepted the fact that I’m a WiFi sort of guy and instead spent the extra $$ on the memory. With double the memory, I can take more content with me, as acquisition of large files via the cell network would be out of the question even if I went for the 3G model.
And since I also have the iPhone, I’m not going to be stranded w/o AT&T coverage at all, such as it is.
