Chris –
Your show notes talk about the remote-access options, including Teamviewer. You had said that on the website, the free for personal use was hard to find, buried somewhere that wasn’t obvious. However, I noticed that your link in the show notes is just to the main page. Can you share where you found the free for personal use version?
Thanks!

Michael,
It’s actually on the home page at the VERY bottom. Scroll all the way down and you’ll see, “Get Started. – it’s free for personal use” and a green “Download TeamViwer” button
CarPlay Feedback
I have an iPhone 6 operating the latest iOS, and a 2015 Honda CR-V with CarPlay. In general, I love Carplay. I use it daily on my commute and when we travel on longer trips. That being said, there are a few odd things about it that literally drive me bananas. I can not tell if the issues belong to Honda or Apple, my guess is some of both. There is precious little nuts & bolts info on the Web about CarPlay, at least based on my Googleing. So, here goes in order of irritation level:
1. The “system” wants to default to music. I typically only play podcasts (The MacCast is one of my favorites) or audio books and only play music when I run out of podcast backlog. I can be listening to a podcast just before entering the car, and yet when I turn on the car, the phone switches to music. I can find no setting to make Podcast default. Sometimes I can use Siri to start Podcasts, but see #2 below. I have even gone so far as to remove all music from the phone, and it still defaults to music. Since there is no music available (I do not subscribe to Apple Music), I get nothing until I manually switch to Podcasts.
2. If I ask Siri to “Play Podcast” this often works, but roughly 30% of the time, Siri tells me that She can’t do that in the car. Repeating the command even many times still gets the same response. Typically, I then have to pull off the road and manually start the podcast.
3. There is a difference in the car’s display when playing podcasts depending on whether I connect via Bluetooth or the Lightning port. When Bluetooth connected, I get fully operational play/pause/reverse controls on my car’s screen. When hard wired, I only get controls to hop to the next or previous chapter/podcast. Seems very odd that the hardwired connection would give less functionality.
