About the whether or not there are Apple customers who will not buy the new Macbook Pro’s because of the butterfly keyboard , I’m definitely not buying any more Macbook Pro’s until they fix the keyboard and get rid of the touchbar.
i literally cannot type effectively with the new keys as they don’t give enough tacticle feedback and the keys are too close together .
The touch bar is bad because a touch typist depends on the same key being in the same location every time , and touch bars change which keys are where based on a timer and other factors.
this year I refreshed my Macbook Pro and bought the 2p15 Macbook Pro model because of the issues which the newer models .
I took a pass on the new MacBook Pro’s and bought a very clean 2015 with the AMD card. It’s plenty fast enough for me and a joy to type on. Apple had the perfect design in the 2015 model, it didn’t need to be “fixed”. The new 15 inch pro will see little real world benefit from the latest Intel chips due to thermal throttling, the i9 in particular is a waste.
