Thanks for the hint about moving your Time Machine file to a larger drive. It turned a light on in my about Disk Utility.
But note that this does not apply to moving the same file to a Time Capsule. The file needs to be turned into a ‘sparsebundle’ file to work on the Time Capsule. This can be done using terminal and program called ‘hdiutil’, but it is very complex.
Regarding alleged the glowing Apple logo on new iPhones – the light for this will likely feed off of the back light for the LCD, as it does on MacBook models. As the back light has to exist either way, I doubt it’ll make a whole lot of difference to battery life.
