Hi Adam, you’re a year ahead of yourself, the maccast only exists for 4 years… ;-)

Just a note on the Psystar story.Rebel EFI is only the latest in a long line of EFI enabling devices and software. There’s a company making an EFI USB adapters that allow users to install and run Mac OS.They have been around for awhile.

Also, building a Hackintosh has become trivial affair these days, you can even run Snow Leopard on AMD based CPU’s.Currently I am using a Quad Core Phenom and dual booting Leopard and Windows 7.I love Mac OS but if they do not allow they’re operating systems to run on multiple platforms then someone else will do it for them.

I don’t think I’m off. The first episode of the Maccast went out on 12/13/2004. In a few more days it will be 12/13/2009. By my math that’s 5 years. No?

The comments about Flash eating up battery life… Don’t believe it! I have a MacBook Pro 13″ and the batteries are stunningly bad even when no browser is used. The Activity Monitor show minimal activity, yet the batteries, at best, last 3 hours or so. My older white MacBook lasts much longer.

When I need to run in an environment where battery power is a must, I go with the older MacBook. The MacBook Pro is only useful for the day when plugged in. Apple really has to find a way to bring back user-replaceable battery packs in these newer models.

    Maurice,
I see what happened now. I said in this episode that the first Maccast was on December 13th, 2005. That IS wrong. It was December 13th, 2004 which would make it 5 years. Sorry for the confusion.
