Some feedback on your segment on Magic Mouse. I have one, LOVE it. I’ve tried all of the 3rd party pref panes out there. BetterTouchTool: http://blog.boastr.net/ is far and away the best. It’s free, constantly updated and includes customizing the trackpad on a MB,MBP as well.
You mentioned having sensitivity problems with the two panes you tried so far. I had the same experience with them. You will NOT have problems like this with BTT. It is very customizable. Just a great utility.
Adam, congrats on going full time with the podcast. I really enjoy your easy-to-listen-to style and always get helpful information from your shows. Three comments:
1) Circus Ponies NoteBook. I heard you talk about it so much that I finally decided to buy it for my MacBook and I love it! I am using it to organize all sorts of day to day items and to dos as well as to plan for projects for this year and beyond. The thing I really get a kick out of is the clipping feature. It’s fun and easy to clip from the web or my email to keep things organized. Thanks for the reviews and encouragement to try NoteBook. I highly recommend it!
2) Magic Mouse. Bought one, tried it for a while, decided to stick with the trackpad or sometimes my old two button scroll wheel mouse. I ended up doing something novel with the Magic Mouse. My family opened a time capsule (a real one, not the Apple one!) at 12:01 AM on 1-1-10, then we re-loaded it to be opened on 1-1-20. My contribution to the time capsule: a USB drive, a recordable DVD, and the Magic Mouse! It will be interesting to see what we’re using ten years from now.
3) Question: do you know of any software for the Mac that removes the crackles and pops from old songs that are downloaded to iTunes? I put some old songs, some dating back to the early 1940s, of my mother-in-law singing (she is celebrating her eightieth birthday this weekend, and she has been a lifelong performer) on my MacBook in iTunes and they are indeed wonderful, but I would like to take out at least some of the worst snaps, crackles and pops. Any help would be appreciated.
