Interested to hear the question about the OSX 10.13.4 display bug affecting DisplayLink, This has been around in one form or another since High Sierra first came out. Those of us using Akai MPC Touch and other systems using the DisplayLink technology were frustrated until 10.13.2 where DisplayLink fixed the issue with a new driver. None of our MPC Touch systems worked without having to go through a convoluted ‘bodge’ to get around it. This worked even for 10.13.3 but 10.13.4 broke it again which is maybe why your listener experienced the problem for the first time.
The problem is that from what I have read, Apple have not been fully communicating with 3rd party developers on changes ‘under the hood’ which can have undesired effects.
