V New Apple Intel TV Ad
* Finally an ad that is not iTunes
* play the tv spot
Apple Intel Ad
* "trapped inside PCs--dull little boxes, dutifully performing dull little tasks."

The Postal Service Video

* Phil Schiller still says that Apple will not prevent users from booting Windows, but the technology inside the new Macs may.
* The new Intel Macs use Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) instead of BIOS.

V Quicktime 7.0.4 released, pulled and re-released

* The file was pulled and an uninstaller (revert to 7.0.1) was put in it's place.
Quicktime 7.0.1 Reinstaller
* Apple then re-released the 7.0.4. update
* If you think you have the bad one best bet is to run the 7.0.1 re-installer and then run Software Update to get the known good update of 7.0.4
Fixed Quicktime 7.0.4 Update
* Trevor Tye from the OptionKey podcast noted that the QT update on OS 10.3.9 messes up the Macromedia Player 8 Flash plugin on Firefox and Safari. Just re-install Flash 8 to fix it.

* Listener Steven was wondering if having open widgets can effect your Macs performance.
V Apple also offers Governmental discounts
* Play comment from listener Brandon
V Powerbook update can improve battery life
* In software update for 15-inch Aluminum PowerBooks.
V Listener feedback on Aperture VS. Adobe Lightroom
* Listener Patrick ( a pro photographer) uses Cannon D2Hs and like Lightroom better than Aperture, but says both have a long way to go.
* The main issue lies in their conversion of the RAW format. Both have difficulty translating the white balance and images tend to be washed out and lose detail.
* He prefers Nikon Capture.
* He notes that all these apps are slow performers even on Dual 2.0 GHz G5 with 3.5 GHZ RAM. Aperture is the slowest.
