V Apple Store 5th Ave elevator gets stuck
* Some customers were stuck in the Jetsons style round glass elevator for 45 minutes.
* Rescuers had to bleed the hydraulics and pry the doors to get the trapped customers out.
* Employees lowered water bottles down to the trapped people, but not iPods like in the recent Tasmanian mine rescue.

V Apple gaming system?
* A tech recruiter told GameSpot magazine that a recent prospect turned down an offer saying he was being heavily recruited by Apple.
* According to the prospect a group inside Apples iTunes division is hiring for ‘C/C++ coders with a ‘gaming background.’
* This would most likely be iPod related, but remember the Pippin? The Pippin was licensed technology and the only Pippin licensee to release a product to market was Bandai in Japan (1995) and US (1996).

* Possible release in the "September timeframe" would miss the current educational buying schedule.
* Intel based, LCD all-in-one similar to the iMac.
V Rumors of upcoming Intel Mac Systems
* The new Intel processor road map seems to provide some clues for release dates of future Macs
* Xserve is expected to go Intel in sometime in June and will most likely use the new Intel Xenon successor code-named the Woodcrest
* Intel is expected to start shipping their Core 2 Duo chips in July making many feel that we will seen the new Mac Pro Intel systems in early August at or near the WWDC.
* Lastly the 'Merom', mobile version of the Core 2 Duo,is slated for an August launch so we could see a MacBook Pro update not long after that.

* Apple will give you pre-paid shipping labels and return instructions.
* Received systems will be processed in the United States, and no hazardous materials will be shipped over seas.
* Apple also recycles iPods if you take them to a retail store. Recycling your old iPod will even get 10% of new one.

* Listener Dave uses a photo screen saver and hot corner. He set the image to a folder with just one image of a solid black.
* Sets the display to sleep in one minute in energy saver
* Then when he wants to sleep the display he moves to the hot-corner to activate the screen saver. This gives the illusion of instant sleep until the actual display sleep kicks in.

V 1. Reset your iPod.
* Click Wheel iPods, Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds.
* Touch/Scroll Wheel iPods, Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds
* Shuffle. Turn off. Wait 5 seconds. Turn o.
* 2. Retry your iPod. Use a different USB or FireWire port on your computer. If using a hub, connect directly to your Mac.
* 3. Restart your computer, and make sure that you have the latest software and firmware updates installed.
* 4. Reinstall your iPod and iTunes software.
* 5. Restore your iPod using the latest iPod Updater. Restoring your iPod will erase all songs and files on your iPod and restore it back to its original settings. Make a backup of any files on your iPod before restoring it, especially purchased music. After restoring, you can transfer your music and files from your computer back to your iPod again.

V Saving iTunes Music Store tracks for review later
* Listener Keith was saying he wished iTunes had a way to "bookmark" artists and albums in the iTMS
* Can't do that, but you can create a playlist and then drag songs from the iTMS into it. From there you can get a song preview (:30), add the songs to your cart or buy, and click the 'grey' arrow icon to return to the album page on iTunes Music Store.
* Also a good way to set up "wishlists".
* Just wish there was a way to easily add whole albums.
