Create free iPhone ringtones in Garageband '09
|

Open Garageband and create a new iPhone Ringtone project
|
|
|
|
|
Choose the 'Example Ringtone' project, name and save it.
|
|
|
|
|
When the editor opens, select the "Jingle" track, and choose Track-->Delete Track (Command+DEL).
|
|
|
|
|
Click on the 'View Media Browser' button (Lower right) and select the iTunes library
|
|
|
|
|
Search or select the non-DRM iTunes track you want to create a ringtone from and drag it to the main timeline area.
|
|
|
|
|
Above the track you will see the 'yellow' loop selection. Drag this to the section of the track you want to be your ringtone. You can drag the endpoints to lengthen or shorten your loop (up to :40 sec)
|
|
|
|
|
Expand the volume track and add points to create a fade in or fade out if you like.
|
|
|
|
|
Once it's all set, choose 'Share'-->'Send Ringtone to iTunes...'
|
|
|
|
|
Use the iPhone "Ringtones" tab to sync your ringtones to the iPhone.
|

Podcast Playlists not Syncing after iTunes 9 upgrade?

There is a new "Include Episodes from Playlists" section in the Podcast tab when managing your device in iTunes 9
|

Need to make sure to check the playlist here to have them sync.
|
|
|

Can be confusing if you created Podcast only playlists using Smart playlists or manually since these also show up in the Music section playlists, but will not sync when checked under Music.
|
